Side Effects

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur:

Rare

  1. Blurred vision
  2. chest pain or discomfort
  3. confusion
  4. dizziness
  5. faintness or lightheadedness when getting up from a lying or sitting position
  6. fast, slow, or irregular heartbeat
  7. nausea
  8. pain or discomfort in arms, jaw, back or neck
  9. shortness of breath
  10. sudden sweating
  11. unusual tiredness or weakness

Frequency of side effects not known

  1. Agitation
  2. anxiety
  3. cold, clammy, pale skin
  4. cough
  5. difficulty swallowing
  6. eye pain
  7. failure to recognize people
  8. hives
  9. irritability
  10. itching
  11. hyperactivity or restlessness
  12. loss of consciousness
  13. loss of vision
  14. mood or mental changes
  15. nervousness
  16. nightmares
  17. pounding heartbeat or pulse
  18. puffiness or swelling of the eyelids or around the eyes, face, lips, or tongue
  19. seeing, hearing, or feeling things that are not there
  20. skin rash
  21. tightness in chest
  22. tremor
  23. unusual behavior such as disorientation to time or place
  24. unusual feeling of excitement
  25. wheezing

Symptoms of Overdose

  1. Bloating
  2. blurred vision
  3. chest pain or discomfort
  4. diarrhea
  5. dizziness
  6. enlarged pupils
  7. fainting
  8. fast, slow, or irregular heartbeat
  9. gas
  10. headache
  11. heartburn
  12. indigestion
  13. lightheadedness
  14. loss of appetite
  15. nausea
  16. nervousness
  17. pounding in the ears
  18. pounding or rapid pulse
  19. stomach pain
  20. sweating
  21. vomiting

Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Check with your health care professional if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome or if you have any questions about them:

Frequency of side effects not known

  1. Change in color vision
  2. difficulty seeing at night
  3. dry mouth
  4. headache
  5. increased sensitivity of eyes to sunlight
  6. muscle stiffness or tightness
  7. temporary stinging in the eyes

Other side effects not listed may also occur in some patients. If you notice any other effects, check with your healthcare professional.
