Side Effects

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur:

More common

  1. Acid or sour stomach
  2. anxiety
  3. backache
  4. belching
  5. bloating
  6. chest pain or tightness
  7. confusion
  8. cough
  9. diarrhea
  10. difficulty breathing
  11. difficulty in speaking
  12. dizziness or lightheadedness
  13. double vision
  14. excess air or gas in the stomach or intestines
  15. fainting
  16. fast heartbeat
  17. fast, weak pulse
  18. full feeling
  19. headache
  20. heartburn
  21. inability to move the arms, legs, or facial muscles
  22. indigestion
  23. loss of appetite
  24. noisy breathing
  25. passing gas
  26. pelvic pain, discomfort, aching, or heaviness
  27. rapid weight gain
  28. severe nausea
  29. slow speech
  30. stomach discomfort, upset, or pain, or swelling
  31. sudden increase in stomach or shoulder pain
  32. sweating
  33. trouble breathing
  34. unusual or large amount of vaginal bleeding
  35. uterine bleeding between menstrual periods
  36. vomiting

Incidence not known

  1. Difficulty swallowing
  2. dizziness
  3. hives, itching, skin rash
  4. pain the chest, groin, or legs, especially the calves
  5. puffiness or swelling of the eyelids or around the eyes, face, lips, or tongue
  6. slurred speech
  7. sudden loss of coordination
  8. sudden, severe weakness or numbness in the arm or leg
  9. unusual tiredness or weakness
  10. vision changes

Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Check with your health care professional if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome or if you have any questions about them:

More common

  1. Acne
  2. bleeding, blistering, burning, coldness, discoloration of skin, feeling of pressure, hives, infection, inflammation, itching, lumps, numbness, pain, rash, redness, scarring, soreness, stinging, swelling, tenderness, tingling, ulceration, or warmth at the injection site
  3. dandruff
  4. oily skin
  5. swelling of the breasts or breast soreness in both females and males

Less common

  1. Decreased interest in sexual intercourse
  2. inability to have or keep an erection
  3. loss in sexual ability, desire, drive, or performance
