Side Effects

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur:

Incidence not known

  1. Acid or sour stomach
  2. anxiety
  3. backache
  4. belching
  5. breast discharge, swelling, or pain
  6. change in vaginal discharge
  7. changes in skin color, pain, tenderness
  8. chest pain or discomfort
  9. chills
  10. clay-colored stools
  11. confusion
  12. constipation
  13. cough
  14. cramps
  15. darkened urine
  16. diarrhea
  17. difficulty speaking
  18. difficulty swallowing
  19. dizziness or lightheadedness
  20. double vision
  21. fainting
  22. fast heartbeat
  23. fever
  24. full or bloated feeling or pressure in the stomach
  25. headache
  26. heartburn
  27. heavy bleeding
  28. hives, itching, skin rash
  29. inability to move the arms, legs, or facial muscles
  30. inability to speak
  31. indigestion
  32. itching of the vagina or outside genitals
  33. loss of appetite
  34. nausea
  35. pain during sexual intercourse
  36. pain or discomfort in the arms, jaw, back, or neck
  37. pain or feeling of pressure in the pelvis
  38. pains in stomach, side, or abdomen, possibly radiating to the back
  39. puffiness or swelling of the eyelids or around the eyes, face, lips, or tongue
  40. slow speech
  41. stomach discomfort, upset, or pain
  42. sudden shortness of breath or troubled breathing
  43. sweating
  44. swelling of the abdominal or stomach area
  45. tightness in the chest
  46. unpleasant breath odor
  47. unusual tiredness or weakness
  48. unusually heavy or unexpected menstrual bleeding
  49. vaginal yeast infection
  50. vaginal bleeding or spotting
  51. vomiting
  52. vomiting of blood
  53. yellow eyes or skin

Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Check with your health care professional if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome or if you have any questions about them:

Incidence not known

  1. Hair loss
  2. inability to have or keep an erection
  3. increased hair growth, especially on the face
  4. loss in sexual ability, desire, drive, or performance
  5. patchy brown or dark brown discoloration of the skin
  6. swelling of the breasts or breast soreness in males
  7. trouble wearing contact lenses
  8. weight gain or loss
