Side Effects

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur:

Less common or rare

  1. Fast or slow heartbeat
  2. headache (severe and continuing)
  3. hives or skin rash
  4. increased pain of the uterus
  5. pale, cool, blotchy skin on arms or legs
  6. pressing or painful feeling in chest
  7. shortness of breath
  8. swelling of face, inside the nose, and eyelids
  9. tightness in chest
  10. trouble in breathing
  11. weak or absent pulse in arms or legs
  12. wheezing

Check with your doctor as soon as possible if any of the following side effects occur:

Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Check with your health care professional if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome or if you have any questions about them:

More common

  1. Diarrhea
  2. nausea
  3. vomiting

Less common or rare

  1. Chills or shivering
  2. dizziness
  3. fever (temporary)
  4. flushing or redness of face
  5. headache
  6. stomach cramps or pain
