يُجري قسم الطب النفسي وعلم النفس في مايو كلينك أبحاثًا لمقارنة نماذج علاج مختلفة لإيجاد أكثر العلاجات فعالية لاضطراب نقص الانتباه مع فرط النشاط (ADHD). يتضمن ذلك تحليل النتائج طويلة الأجل للأطفال المصابين باضطراب نقص الانتباه مع فرط النشاط. ويعمل الباحثون أيضًا على تحديد الجينات المرتبطة بالاستجابة للأدوية لدى الأطفال المصابين بهذا الاضطراب. ويساعد ذلك في تخصيص العلاج حسب الاحتياجات الفردية للطفل المصاب باضطراب نقص الانتباه مع فرط النشاط.
