الأبحاث

يدرس الأطباء والباحثون في مايو كلينك مجموعة من الموضوعات التشخيصية والعلاجية المرتبطة بضخامة النهايات. ترتكز أعمال الفريق البحثي المتخصص في الغدد النخامية والتناسلية والكظرية في قسم أبحاث الغدد الصماء والسكري والأيض الغذائي والتغذية على حالات الغدد النخامية والتناسلية والكظرية. وتشمل الأبحاث العلمية الأساسية للفريق دراسات عن تركيب الجينات المرتبطة بهرمون النمو ووظائفها والتحكم في التعبير الجيني لهرمون النمو المشيمي. ومن الأنشطة البحثية السريرية تجربة أدوية جديدة لعلاج ضخامة النهايات وفرط الألدوستيرونية ونقص هرمون النمو.
