Bobbi S. Pritt, M.D., is a Pathologist and Clinical Microbiologist with specialty interests in parasitic and vector-borne infections, and the pathology of infectious diseases. Her clinical focus includes:

  • Developing and deploying state-of-the-art tests for detecting parasites, vector-borne bacteria and viruses from human clinical samples.
  • Examining histology and cytology preparations for evidence of infection.
  • Detecting and characterizing novel parasitic and vector-borne pathogens.
  • Partnering with patient-facing providers to deliver personalized patient care.

The clinical assays that are developed by Dr. Pritt and her team are available to patients at Mayo Clinic and through Mayo Clinic Laboratories.

In addition to her clinical activities, Dr. Pritt is active in research and education, providing mentorship to residents and fellows. She authors expert content and publishes in high-impact scientific journals on the topics of clinical microbiology and the pathology of infectious diseases.
