Biographical summary
Albert G. Hakaim, M.D., is a vascular and endovascular surgeon specializing in endovascular repair of abdominal aortic aneurysms and thoracic aneurysms. His clinical practice includes general vascular surgery and endovascular treatment of occlusive and aneurysmal arterial disease and arterial reconstruction in patients with dialysis dependent renal failure. Dr. Hakaim's areas of clinical expertise include:

- Lower extremity revascularization
- Vascular access surgery
- Thoracoabdominal aneurysm repair
In addition to his clinical activities, Dr. Hakaim is active in clinical research as the principal investigator for the carotid revascularization endarterectomy verses stent and medical management (CREST-2) and had developed the first custom stent-graft for aortic aneurysm repair at Mayo Clinic as part of an FDA approved IDE protocol.
