Dr. Cajigas is a board-certified Pulmonary and Critical Care physician with special interest in Pulmonary Vascular Diseases including Pulmonary Hypertension, Pulmonary embolism, Hereditary Hemorrhagic Telangiectasia and Right heart failure among others. Dr. Cajigas' experience and interest in Pulmonary vascular diseases data since his fellowship at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine since the year 2000. He has participated in multiple national and international research trials in the field of pulmonary hypertension. Before joining Mayo Clinic, Dr. Cajigas directed the Pulmonary Hypertension Program at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI and subsequently became Associate Division Head at Northwestern University, Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine and practiced in the Pulmonary Hypertension Program. Dr. Cajigas has been recognized by peers, residents and students as an outstanding teacher and clinician. He is always interested in patient's understanding and collaboration in their complex care.
