Side Effects

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor or nurse immediately if any of the following side effects occur:

More common

  1. Abdominal or stomach pain
  2. anxiety
  3. bloating or swelling of the face, arms, hands, lower legs, ankles, or feet
  4. chest pain
  5. chills
  6. confusion
  7. constipation
  8. convulsions
  9. cough
  10. decreased urination
  11. deep cracks, grooves, or lines in the skin
  12. diarrhea
  13. difficulty with swallowing
  14. discoloration of the fingernails or toenails
  15. drowsiness
  16. dry mouth, lips, or skin
  17. fainting
  18. fast or irregular heartbeat
  19. fever
  20. flushing or redness of the skin
  21. increased thirst
  22. itching, pain, and swelling of the eyelid
  23. itching skin
  24. loosening of the fingernails
  25. loss of appetite
  26. mood or mental changes
  27. muscle pain or cramps
  28. muscle spasms or twitching
  29. nausea
  30. rapid weight gain
  31. rapid, shallow breathing
  32. rash
  33. redness or soreness around the fingernails
  34. shortness of breath
  35. sores, ulcers, or white spots on the lips, tongue, or inside the mouth
  36. sudden shortness of breath
  37. sunken eyes
  38. swelling or inflammation of the mouth
  39. tearing of the eyes
  40. tingling of the hands or feet
  41. trembling
  42. troubled breathing
  43. unusual tiredness or weakness
  44. unusual weight gain or loss
  45. unusually warm skin
  46. vomiting

Less common

  1. Blurred vision
  2. burning, dry, or itching eyes
  3. difficulty with breathing
  4. discharge from the eyes or excessive tearing
  5. dizziness, faintness, or lightheadedness when getting up suddenly from a lying or sitting position
  6. facial swelling
  7. headache
  8. hives
  9. noisy breathing
  10. puffiness or swelling of the eyelids or around the eyes, face, lips, or tongue
  11. sweating
  12. swelling of the eye, eyelid, or inner lining of the eyelid
  13. tightness in the chest
  14. wheezing

Rare

  1. Chest discomfort
  2. painful breathing
  3. slight fever
  4. troubled or quick, shallow breathing

Incidence not known

  1. Bleeding, blistering, burning, coldness, discoloration of the skin, feeling of pressure, hives, infection, inflammation, itching, lumps, numbness, pain, rash, redness, scarring, soreness, stinging, swelling, tenderness, tingling, or warmth at the injection site
  2. large, hive-like swelling on the face, eyelids, lips, tongue, throat, hands, legs, feet, or sex organs
