Peter Schoettler, M.D., is a board-certified Pediatric Hematologist-Oncologist with an interest and expertise in pediatric solid tumors. Dr. Schoettler's interest in Pediatric Hematology and Oncology was inspired at a young age after his brother and sister were both diagnosed with a rare pediatric lung cancer, pleuropulmonary blastoma (PPB). His clinical and research interests are in PPB and anaplastic sarcoma of the kidney (ASK) which are both associated with the cancer predisposition syndrome, DICER1 Syndrome. Dr. Schoettler is a member of the Children's Oncology Group Rare Tumor and Young Investigator Committees. Dr. Schoettler's other interests include cheering for Minnesota sports teams and spending time with his family and mini-goldendoodle, Waffles.
