Ferenc Rabai, M.D., is a neuroanesthesiologist and has worked at the Department of Anesthesiology at Mayo Clinic Florida since April 2022 as Senior Associate Consultant. Dr. Rabai obtained his medical degree in Hungary from the University of Debrecen in 2003 (Doctor of Medicine — Summa Cum Laude). He completed core surgical training in the United Kingdom (UK) and obtained Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (MRCS-Eng) in 2010. He then completed anesthesiology residency between 2012-2016, followed by neuroanesthesiology fellowship in 2017 at the University of Florida (UF). He worked for 2 years as Staff Grade in General Surgery at Benenden Hospital Trust in the UK (2010-2012). He was Assistant Professor at the University of Florida between 2017 and 2022, where he served as Medical Director of Intraoperative Neurophysiological Monitoring since 2020. He has special interests in intraoperative electroencephalography and neurophysiologic monitoring for a variety of neurosurgical operations with a particular interest in anesthetic optimization for neuromonitoring. He is highly dedicated to medical education and was awarded Exemplary Teacher in 2018 and 2019 at UF.
