I'm one of the thoracic surgeons here at Mayo Clinic, Florida. I perform mostly lung surgery, usually with the robots, so minimally invasive. I also do other things in the chest like the thymus gland or infections in the chest. The needs of the patient come first is the mission statement of the whole hospital.
