Biographical summary
Mashal Batheja, M.D., is assistant professor of medicine and part of our consultative general gastroenterology practice, as such she sees a wide array of GI disorders including gastroesophageal reflux disease, celiac disease, iron deficiency anemia, and disorders of the gut brain interaction. She completed her medical school at the University of Southern California, internal medicine residency at Northwestern University, and transplant hepatology and gastroenterology fellowships at Mayo Clinic in Arizona (MCA). She has a special interest in innovation in medical education and serves as the program director of the gastroenterology fellowship at MCA, and has served as GI faculty lecturer at the University of Arizona-Phoenix medical school.
