1. Evaluating Intestinal Microbiome and Immune Function in Lymphoma

   Rochester, Minn.

   The purpose of this study is to examine the microbiome and immune function in patients with active lymphoma, and in patients with a history of lymphoma who are in clinical remission.

2. Dietary and Topical Magnesium Replacement or Supplementation in Patients with Lymphoma

   Rochester, Minn.

   The purpose of this research study is to find out if being on a magnesium rich diet and using a magnesium lotion on the skin will help to keep the magnesium blood level in a normal range or increase the magnesium level if it is slightly below the normal range or in the low end of the normal range. We also want to learn about the side effects and quality of life when patients are receiving different forms of magnesium.  

   Ancient Minerals Magnesium Lotion is an over-the-counter lotion that can be bought at a drug store or on the internet. The use of this lotion is considered investigational since it hasn’t been studied in lymphoma cancer patients with low magnesium levels before; however, the FDA is allowing us to use this lotion in this research study.

3. Ascorbic Acid and Combination Chemotherapy for the Treatment of Relapsed or Refractory Lymphoma or CCUS

   Rochester, Minn., Mankato, Minn., La Crosse, Wis., Eau Claire, Wis.

   The purpose of this study is to examine how well ascorbic acid and combination chemotherapy work in treating patients with lymphoma that has come back or does not respond to therapy. Ascorbic acid may make cancer cells more sensitive to chemotherapy. Drugs used in chemotherapy, work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Giving ascorbic acid and combination chemotherapy may work better at treating lymphoma.

   In the Clonal Cytopenia of Undetermined Significance (CCUS) Cohort D, we want to find out if ascorbic acid will improve blood counts so fewer transfusions  are required and there is a less likely chance the patient will develop myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) or other related myeloid malignancies.

4. Specialty Compared to Oncology Delivered Palliative Care for Treating Acute Myeloid Leukemia

   Rochester, Minn.

   The purpose of this study is to evaluate whether primary palliative care is an alternative strategy to specialty palliative care for improving quality of life, symptoms, mood, coping, and end of life outcomes in patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML).

5. A Study to Develop Liquid Biopsy for Pediatric Brain Tumor Patients

   Rochester, Minn.

   The purpose of this study is to confirm detection of the H3K27M mutation in patient biofluids (CSF, blood, urine, saliva) and uncover the molecular histone (alkaline protein) profile of H3K trimethylation and H3S phosphorylation in the circulating nucleosomes isolated from the biofluids of patients with H3K27M tumors.

6. Oncolytic Adenovirus Coding For TNFa And IL2 (TILT-123) With Pembrolizumab Or Pembrolizumab And Pegylated Liposomal Doxorubicin As Treatment For Ovarian Cancer. (PROTA)

   Rochester, Minn.

   The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety [including dose-limiting toxicities (DLTs)] of the combination therapy of TILT-123 and pembrolizumab in patients with platinum resistant or refractory ovarian cancer.

7. BiCaZO: A Study Combining Two Immunotherapies (Cabozantinib and Nivolumab) to Treat Patients With Advanced Melanoma or Squamous Cell Head and Neck Cancer, an immunoMATCH Pilot Study

   Jacksonville, Fla., Scottsdale/Phoenix, Ariz.

   The purpose of this study is to evaluate the feasibility of molecular characterization based on tumor mutational burden (TMB) for participant stratification, as assessed by the proportion of participants with less than or equal to a 21-day turnaround time for biopsy results in Stage I of the study. Also, to evaluate the feasibility of molecular characterization based on TMB and gene expression profiling (GEP) (for TIS - tumor inflammation signature) for stratification in the overall study (Stage I and Stage II). Additinoally, to evaluate the effectiveness by overall response rate (ORR – defined as confirmed and unconfirmed partial responses plus complete responses) of cabozantinib plus nivolumab in each disease cohort, both across and within tumor biomarker subgroups.

8. Melanoma In-transit Tissue Bank and Molecular Analysis for Personalized Therapies

   Rochester, Minn., Jacksonville, Fla.

   The purpose of this study is to establish a tissue bank to collect patient tissue for genomic analysis, allowing identification of genomic signatures that predict response and failure to the individual therapy.  Once this is complete treatment will be directed based on the genomic signature of patients individual tumor.

    

    

9. Gemini Study to Evaluate the Integration of Cancer Genetic Testing into a Cancer Clinical Practice at Mayo Clinic at Arizona

   Jacksonville, Fla., Scottsdale/Phoenix, Ariz.

   The purpose of this study is to determine the prevalence of genetic mutations in cancer patients from various ethnic populations seeking care at Mayo Clinic cancer clinics.

10. A Study to Evaluate DS-8201a Combined with Olaparib in HER2-Expressing Cancers with Expansion in Endometrial Cancer Patients Testing the Combination of DS-8201a and Olaparib in HER2-Expressing Cancers With Expansion in Patients With Endometrial Cancer

    The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and tolerability of the combination of DS-8201a in combination with olaparib, and to determine the recommended phase 2 dose (RP2D) 1.1.2 To evaluate the safety and tolerability of this combination in a dose expansion cohort in patients with uterine serous carcinoma.
