The goal of this study is to develop a resource (bank) of biospecimens (blood, tissue) from patients having cancers that metastasis to the liver. The purpose of the resource bank is to facilitate studies on the pathogenesis of cancers metastasizing to the liver and also in order to assess the ability of new tests to detect early cancer in the cohort of patients undergoing routine surveillance for cancer. The biospecimens will include cultures of tumor cells and tumor-associated non-malignant cells, as well as xenografts established from freshly isolated metastatic cancers in immunodeficient mice. We plan to administer a risk factor questionnaire to facilitate identification of risk factors for development of metastatic liver cancer. The study will also determine survival of patients from time of diagnosis. A Registry to Collect Patient and Family DNA and Information for Anyone who has had Multiplex Testing and Gene Mutation Results Rochester, Minn. The purpose of this study is to collect patient and family DNA and disease data to learn more about how changes in certain genes may be linked to cancer. Some people with cancer may have aquired their disease because they inherited an abnormal (mutated) gene. The researchers of this study want to better understand the risks that are linked to genetic changes in these less well-studied genes. By understanding these risks, it is believed that doctors will be able to give better advice to families with mutations in these genes. A Study to Identify Late-Occurring Complications in Childhood Cancer Survivors Rochester, Minn. The purpose of this trial is to identify cancer survivors who are at increased risk of developing late-occurring complications after undergoing treatment for childhood cancer. A patient's genes may affect the risk of developing complications, such as congestive heart failure, heart attack, stroke, and second cancer, years after undergoing cancer treatment. Genetic studies may help doctors identify survivors of childhood cancer who are more likely to develop late complications. A Study to Evaluate Remote Monitoring in Cancer Care Rochester, Minn. The objectives of this study are to establish the validity for the use of wearable device for continuous, remote monitoring of physiologic parameters, to establish the validity for the use of wearable device for continuous, remote monitoring of physiologic parameters, and to develop patient-specific algorithms to predict the trajectory of CRS and or neurotoxicity and time to escalation of medical intervention is needed. Pre-op Pembro + Radiation Therapy in Breast Cancer (P-RAD) Rochester, Minn. The purpose of this trilal is to study a combination of neoadjuvant radiotherapy (RT), immunotherapy (pembrolizumab) and chemotherapy for lymph node-positive, triple negative (TN) or hormone receptor positive/HER2-negative breast cancer. Reduced Craniospinal Radiation Therapy and Chemotherapy in Treating Younger Patients With Newly Diagnosed WNT-Driven Medulloblastoma Rochester, Minn. This phase II trial studies how well reduced doses of radiation therapy to the brain and spine (craniospinal) and chemotherapy work in treating patients with newly diagnosed type of brain tumor called WNT)/Wingless (WNT)-driven medulloblastoma. Recent studies using chemotherapy and radiation therapy have been shown to be effective in treating patients with WNT-driven medulloblastoma. However, there is a concern about the late side effects of treatment, such as learning difficulties, lower amounts of hormones, or other problems in performing daily activities. Radiotherapy uses high-energy radiation from x-rays to kill cancer cells and shrink tumors. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as cisplatin, vincristine sulfate, cyclophosphamide and lomustine, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Giving reduced craniospinal radiation therapy and chemotherapy may kill tumor cells and may also reduce the late side effects of treatment. A Study of Proton Radiation Divided into Fewer Doses for Low Risk Prostate Cancer Rochester, Minn., Scottsdale/Phoenix, Ariz. The purpose of this study is to compare the effects (good and bad) on patients with prostate cancer by comparing the standard dose of radiation therapy (44 treatments over 8½-9 weeks) with a higher daily dose of radiation (5 treatments over 1-2 weeks) to see if the effects of the treatments are similar or better. A Study to Compare of the Glycotest™ HCC Panel vs AFP for the Detection of Early-stage Hepatocellular Carcinoma Rochester, Minn. The purpose of this study is to compare the use of the Glycotest HCC Panel vs. the serum protein biomarker alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) for the early detection of Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC). Cardiotoxic Effects of Chemotherapy in Patients with Sarcomas Rochester, Minn. The purpose of this study is to determine if two-dimensional speckle tracking echocardiography (2D-STE) derived-strain can detect early myocardial dysfunction and thus predict cardiotoxicity in sarcoma subjects undergoing anthracycline therapy and to compare three dimensional speckle tracking echocardiography (3D-STE) to 2D-STE in the same group of patients. A Study to Detect Pancreatic Cancer Using Circulating Tumor Markers Rochester, Minn. The primary purpose of this study is to select and validate candidate methylated DNA markers (MDMs) (individually and in combined panels) for the detection of pancreative ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). The potential complementary value of mutant KRAS and CA19-9 will also be evaluated.
