Mayo Clinic critical Care physicians and scientists conduct studies to decrease complications and improve outcomes for critically ill patients. They continually research new diagnosis and treatment options for people with conditions associated with critical illnesses and trauma.

Research includes perioperative critical care; trauma; transfusions; modeling of critical care syndromes, life support interventions and patient-important outcomes; and the science of health care delivery and informatics.
