Sara S. Shihab, M.D.

Dr. Sara Shihab is a board-certified Woman's Health internist specializing in sexual health and menopause. She calls Arizona home but was born and raised in Baghdad, Iraq where she completed her medical school at Al-Nahrain University, School of Medicine with honors. Dr. Shihab completed her Internal Medicine residency at Yale New Haven hospital, Yale School of Medicine. Dr. Shihab has experience in both primary care and hospital base settings. She truly enjoys individualized patient care and believes wellness is a journey that involves the mind body and soul. She specially focuses on Women's Health and all aspects of caring for women throughout their life experiences. Additional special interests are preventative care in women, lifestyle medicine, health and fitness and cancer survivorship in women. In addition to being a core faculty member in the Women's Health Fellowship at Mayo Clinic Arizona, she is actively involved with the Internal Medicine Residency and Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine.
