Doctors and surgeons trained in heart rhythm disorders are actively developing new technologies to treat heart rhythm disorders and working to improve care for people living with arrhythmias.
Areas of investigation have included:
- Leading a multicenter, multinational trial to compare drug therapy with cardiac ablation for people with heart rhythm problems
- Developing novel approaches to reduce the risk of stroke in people with atrial fibrillation
- Designing new catheters to deliver ablation, including a state-of-the-art cryoablation balloon
- Understanding the genetics of heart arrhythmias
