Side Effects

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur:

More common

  1. Agitation
  2. anxiety
  3. back pain
  4. black, tarry stools
  5. blurred vision
  6. burning feeling in the chest or stomach
  7. burning upper abdominal or stomach pain
  8. chest pain, discomfort, or burning
  9. coma
  10. confusion
  11. constipation
  12. cough
  13. diarrhea
  14. difficulty in speaking
  15. difficulty swallowing
  16. dizziness or lightheadedness
  17. double vision
  18. drowsiness
  19. enlarged pupils
  20. feeling of constant movement of self or surroundings
  21. fever
  22. hallucinations
  23. headache
  24. heartburn
  25. inability to move the arms, legs, or facial muscles
  26. inability to speak
  27. increased sensitivity of the eyes to light
  28. increased sweating, possibly with fever or cold, clammy skin
  29. indigestion
  30. irritability
  31. loss of appetite
  32. mood or mental changes
  33. nervousness
  34. pain, redness, or swelling in the arm or leg
  35. pain or discomfort in the arms, jaw, back, or neck
  36. pains in chest, groin, or legs, especially calves of the legs
  37. pounding in the ears
  38. seizures
  39. sensation of spinning
  40. severe chest pain
  41. slow or fast heartbeat
  42. stiff or sore neck
  43. stomach cramps, burn, upset, or pain
  44. sudden loss of coordination
  45. sudden onset of slurred speech
  46. sudden vision changes
  47. sweating
  48. swelling of the neck
  49. trouble breathing
  50. unusual tiredness or weakness
  51. vomiting
  52. vomiting of blood or material that looks like coffee grounds

Incidence not known

  1. Dark urine
  2. loss of bladder control
  3. muscle spasm or jerking
  4. sudden loss of consciousness
  5. yellow eyes or skin

Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Check with your health care professional if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome or if you have any questions about them:

More common

  1. General feeling of discomfort or illness
  2. lack or loss of strength
  3. unusual drowsiness, dullness, tiredness, weakness or feeling of sluggishness
