Side Effects

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur:

More common

  1. Skin redness, swelling, or itching
  2. skin rash
  3. worsening of psoriasis

Get emergency help immediately if any of the following symptoms of overdose occur:

Symptoms of overdose

  1. Confusion
  2. constipation
  3. discouragement
  4. dry mouth
  5. feeling sad or empty
  6. headache
  7. incoherent speech
  8. increased urination
  9. irritability
  10. lack of appetite
  11. loss of interest or pleasure
  12. metallic taste
  13. muscle weakness
  14. nausea
  15. stomach pain
  16. thirst
  17. tiredness
  18. trouble concentrating
  19. trouble sleeping
  20. unusual tiredness
  21. vomiting
  22. weight loss

Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Check with your health care professional if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome or if you have any questions about them:

More common

  1. Burning, dryness, irritation, peeling, or redness of the skin

Less common

  1. Pain at the application site


  1. Darker color in the treated areas of the skin
  2. pus in the hair follicles
