The purpose of this trial is to identify cancer survivors who are at increased risk of developing late-occurring complications after undergoing treatment for childhood cancer. A patient's genes may affect the risk of developing complications, such as congestive heart failure, heart attack, stroke, and second cancer, years after undergoing cancer treatment. Genetic studies may help doctors identify survivors of childhood cancer who are more likely to develop late complications. A Registry to Collect Patient and Family DNA and Information for Anyone who has had Multiplex Testing and Gene Mutation Results Rochester, Minn. The purpose of this study is to collect patient and family DNA and disease data to learn more about how changes in certain genes may be linked to cancer. Some people with cancer may have aquired their disease because they inherited an abnormal (mutated) gene. The researchers of this study want to better understand the risks that are linked to genetic changes in these less well-studied genes. By understanding these risks, it is believed that doctors will be able to give better advice to families with mutations in these genes. Phase I Trial of Sargramostim and Nivolumab for Metastatic Melanoma to the Lung Rochester, Minn. This phase I trial is looking to see if sargramostim given with a nebulizer, in combination with standard immune checkpoint inhibitor therapy with nivolumab can help control melanoma that has metastasized to the lungs. Pre-op Pembro + Radiation Therapy in Breast Cancer (P-RAD) Rochester, Minn. The purpose of this trilal is to study a combination of neoadjuvant radiotherapy (RT), immunotherapy (pembrolizumab) and chemotherapy for lymph node-positive, triple negative (TN) or hormone receptor positive/HER2-negative breast cancer. ACT-MBC: A Study of Circulating Tumor Cells (CTCs) in Metastatic Breast Cancer (MBC) (ACT-MBC) Rochester, Minn., Mankato, Minn., Eau Claire, Wis., Albert Lea, Minn. Collection of blood to track serial circulating tumor cells (CTCs) in subjects with metastatic breast cancer (MBC). Study will also collect data from investigators are Mayo Clinic and the Mayo Clinic Health Systems to determine effectiveness of the proposed process. Understanding the Relationship Between Benign Breast Tissue, Benign Breast Disease, and Breast Cancer Development Jacksonville, Fla. The purpose of this study is to culture human mammary cells to identify cellular characteristics associated with lobular involution status. Tissue Collection for Patients with Cancers other than Hepatobilairy Cancers with Metastasis to the Liver Rochester, Minn. The goal of this study is to develop a resource (bank) of biospecimens (blood, tissue) from patients having cancers that metastasis to the liver. The purpose of the resource bank is to facilitate studies on the pathogenesis of cancers metastasizing to the liver and also in order to assess the ability of new tests to detect early cancer in the cohort of patients undergoing routine surveillance for cancer. The biospecimens will include cultures of tumor cells and tumor-associated non-malignant cells, as well as xenografts established from freshly isolated metastatic cancers in immunodeficient mice. We plan to administer a risk factor questionnaire to facilitate identification of risk factors for development of metastatic liver cancer. The study will also determine survival of patients from time of diagnosis. Comparing Capecitabine and Temozolomide in Combination to Lutetium Lu 177 Dotatate in Patients With Advanced Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Tumors Rochester, Minn., Jacksonville, Fla., Scottsdale/Phoenix, Ariz. The purpose of this study is to compare capecitabine and temozolomide to lutetium Lu 177 dotatate for the treatment of pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors that have spread to other parts of the body (advanced) or are not able to be removed by surgery (unresectable). Chemotherapy drugs, such as capecitabine and temozolomide, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Radioactive drugs, such as lutetium Lu 177 dotatate, may carry radiation directly to tumor cells and may reduce harm to normal cells. The purpose of this study is to find out whether capecitabine and temozolomide or lutetium Lu 177 dotatate may kill more tumor cells in patients with advanced pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors. A Global Study to Assess the Effects of MEDI4736, Given as Monotherapy or in Combination With Tremelimumab Determined by PD-L1 Expression Versus Standard of Care in Patients With Locally Advanced or Metastatic Non Small Cell Lung Cancer Scottsdale/Phoenix, Ariz. This study is a Phase III, randomised, open label, multi-centre study assessing the efficacy and safety of MEDI4736 versus Standard of Care in NSCLC patients with PD-L1 positive tumours and the combination of MEDI4736 plus tremelimumab (MEDI4736+treme) versus Standard of Care in NSCLC patients with PD-L1-negative tumours in the treatment of male and female patients with locally advanced or metastatic NSCLC (Stage IIIB-IV), who have received at least 2 prior systemic treatment regimens including 1 platinum-based chemotherapy regimen for NSCLC. Patients with known EGFR (Epidermal growth factor receptor) tyrosine kinase (TK) activating mutations and anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) rearrangements are not eligible for the study (prospective testing is not planned within this study). The Standard of Care options are: an EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitor (erlotinib [TARCEVA®]), gemcitabine or vinorelbine (NAVELBINE®). Ado-trastuzumab emtansine (T-DM1)-Induced Peripheral Neuropathy in HER2-positive Breast Cancer Patients Rochester, Minn. The purpose of this study is to prospectively evaluate the patient-reported outcomes data of T-DM1 induced peripheral neuropathy like prior research focused on paclitaxel-, paclitaxel/CBDCA-, oxaliplatin-, and cisplatin-induced peripheral neuropathy, to better understand the similarities and differences of chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN) symptoms caused by different agents, their pathogenesis, and impacts.
