Ensayos clínicos A continuación se enumeran ensayos clínicos actuales.121 estudios en Cirugía (estudios abiertos únicamente). Filtrar esta lista de estudios según la ubicación, el estado del estudio y más. A Study to Establish a Pediatric Spine Registry Rochester, Minn., Minneapolis, Minn. The purpose of this study is to collect data about patients with chest wall and spinal deformities to develop a multicenter registry. This will speed the pace of medical advancement and treatment recommendations for these conditions. A Study to Analyze Intracerebral Hemorrhage Hematoma Jacksonville, Fla. The purpose of this study is to to take the usual waste material from the removal of hematoma and apply an array of -Omics approaches (including for example genomics, transcriptomics, lipidomics, proteomics, and metabolomics) to identify biomarkers that assess prognosis and identify key therapeutic targets. Leveraging AI/ML Algorithms On Digital Pathology And Ex-Vivo Confocal Microscopy Imaging For Extramammary Paget’s Disease Rochester, Minn. The purpose of this study is to validate the use of ex-vivo confocal microscopy for the assessment of skin specimens derived from Mohs surgery compared to standard microscopy. To leverage deep learning models for classification, detection, and localization of tumor for extramammary Paget’s disease on ex-vivo confocal microscopy images. To leverage AI/ML to ex-vivo confocal microscopy imaging to facilitate microscopic-level imaging of extramammary Paget’s disease. To leverage deep learning models for classification, detection, and localization of tumor for extramammary Paget’s disease on frozen and permanent pathology WSIs. CT Angiography of the Aorta following Fenestrated Branched Endovascular Aneurysm Repair (F-BEVAR) using Tube Potential Selection and Weight-based Method: Effects on Image Quality and Radiation Dose Rochester, Minn. The objective of this study is to evaluate the image quality and radiation dose of a CT angiography protocol (CTA) using tube potential selection and weight-based method. Pituitary tumor registry Rochester, Minn. The purpose of this data registry involves the collection of standard of care clinical treatment regimens, diagnostic information and surgical outcomes which may include human specimens and associated genomewide expression data. Treatment In Thoracic Aortic Aneurysm: Surgery Vs Surveillance Rochester, Minn. The ascending aorta conducts blood from the heart to the rest of the body. The ascending aorta can become enlarged, and the risk of tearing and rupturing becomes higher with larger aorta. When the ascending aorta tears or ruptures, the risk dying is high even if surgery is done as soon as possible. Traditionally, when the ascending aorta gets above 5.5 cm, surgery is recommended to replace the aorta. However, this threshold is based relatively weak evidence, and sometimes patients with smaller aorta can tear or rupture. On the other hand, surgery carries its own risk as well. Since there are risk of waiting or doing surgery, there is currently no great support for either approach for patients with a smaller aorta. In the TITAN SvS trial, patients with an ascending aorta between 5.0 to 5.5 cm is assigned by chance to the early surgery group, in which they will undergo replacement of aorta, or the surveillance group, in which they will be closely monitored. The chance of dying or suffer tearing or rupture of aorta between the two groups will be compared. The result of the trial will guide future practice for patients with enlarged ascending aorta. This is a prospective, multi-centre randomized control trial that compares the all-cause mortality, aneurysm-related aortic events, rate of stroke, and quality of life for those patients undergoing early elective ascending aortic surgery to those patients undergoing surveillance. Patients referred for an ascending aortic aneurysm that meets the inclusion criteria will be randomized to the early elective surgery group or the surveillance group. Recruitment will end when the desired sample size is reached, and the patients will be followed for a minimum 2-year period. The primary objective of the trial is to compare the composite outcome of the all-cause mortality and incidence of acute aortic events between surveillance and elective ascending aortic surgery for patients with degenerative or bicuspid valve-related ascending aortic aneurysm after 2 years of follow up. The hypothesis is that the early surgery group will have a significantly lower all-cause mortality and incidence of acute aortic events at 2 years of follow up compare to the surveillance group. The result of this trial will provide evidence based guidance in the appropriate management of ascending aortic aneurysm based on the size criteria, and establish a large database for future investigations. Intraoperative Contrast Enhanced Ultrasound for the Identification of Pituitary Adenoma in Cushing’s Disease Rochester, Minn. The purpose of this study is to combine recent advances in ultrasound imaging, specifically an endonasal transducer array and contrast enhanced ultrasound, to offer an intraoperative image-guided solution for lesion-specific surgical resection to impact clinical outcome. Benevolent Tumor Tissue Repository Fighting for the Legacy of our Young Rochester, Minn. The aim of this study is to create a patient and patient-advocate catalyzed tumor bank for the retrieval, processing, analysis, and maintenance of pre-treatment, post-treatment and (when available) post-mortem soft tissue sarcoma (STS) tissue and tissue data with an emphasis on STSs occurring in younger patients (YP-STS). This resource-platform will be named Project BTTRFLY (Benevolent Tumor Tissue Repository Fighting for the Legacy of our Young). A Study To Collect Clinical Outcomes Of Anatomic And Reverse Total Shoulder Arthroplasty Scottsdale/Phoenix, Ariz. The purpose of the study is a multi-center prospective registry to collect clinical outcomes of anatomic and reverse total shoulder arthroplasty. A Study to Evaluate Analgesic Use and Duration for Pediatric Long Bone Fractures Rochester, Minn. The purpose of this study is to develop an evidenced-based guideline for pediatric opioid prescribing guideline from the emergency department for long bone fractures to more closely tailor pain management to abuse potential.
