A. Scott Keller, M.D., is an internal medicine physician with specialty interest in hospitalized patients and patients with overweight or obesity. His clinical focus includes:

  • Care of patients who require hospitalization for treatment of medical conditions such as pneumonia, dehydration, blood clots, diabetes, and electrolyte abnormalities.
  • Expertise in medical co-management of orthopedic surgical patients to evaluate and treat unexpected complications such as high blood pressure, delirium, kidney failure, and volume overload.
  • Complex coordination of care and treatment of previously undiagnosed illness in hospitalized patients.
  • Treatment and coordination of care for patients with overweight or obesity.

In addition to his clinical activities, Dr. Keller has active research projects and he helps teach doctors-in-training. He has served as the Physician Editor for the American College of Physicians Hospitalist Weekly online newsletter since 2009.
