Side Effects

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur:

Incidence not known

  1. Abdominal or stomach pain
  2. change in consciousness
  3. chills
  4. clay-colored stools
  5. confusion about identity, place, and time
  6. dark urine
  7. difficulty swallowing
  8. discouragement
  9. dizziness
  10. feeling sad or empty
  11. fever
  12. headache
  13. irritability
  14. itching
  15. lack of appetite
  16. loss of balance control
  17. loss of consciousness
  18. loss of interest or pleasure
  19. mask-like face
  20. nausea
  21. pale skin
  22. rash
  23. seizures
  24. severe spasm where the head and heels are bent backward and the body arched forward
  25. shuffling walk
  26. slowed movements of the arms and legs
  27. slurred speech
  28. sore throat
  29. swelling of the arms, face, legs, lips, tongue, or throat
  30. tic-like (jerky) movements of the head, face, mouth, and neck
  31. trembling and shaking of the fingers and hands
  32. trouble concentrating
  33. trouble sleeping
  34. unpleasant breath odor
  35. unusual bruising or bleeding
  36. unusual tiredness or weakness
  37. vomiting of blood
  38. yellow eyes or skin

Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Check with your health care professional if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome or if you have any questions about them:

  1. Blurred vision
  2. diarrhea
  3. drowsiness
  4. muscle cramps

Other side effects not listed may also occur in some patients. If you notice any other effects, check with your healthcare professional.
