Side Effects

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur:

Incidence not known

  1. Agitation
  2. black, bloody, tarry stools
  3. blistering, peeling, or loosening of the skin
  4. bloody or cloudy urine
  5. burning, crawling, itching, numbness, prickling, "pins and needles", or tingling feelings
  6. burning upper abdominal or stomach pain
  7. change in consciousness
  8. chest pain or tightness
  9. chills
  10. confusion
  11. cough or hoarseness
  12. dark urine
  13. decreased urine output
  14. depression
  15. diarrhea
  16. dizziness
  17. dry mouth
  18. feeling of constant movement of self or surroundings
  19. fever
  20. headache
  21. hearing loss
  22. hives, itching, skin rash
  23. increased sensitivity of the skin to sunlight
  24. irregular heartbeat
  25. irritability
  26. joint or muscle pain
  27. light-colored stools
  28. loss of appetite
  29. loss of consciousness
  30. lower back or side pain
  31. mood changes
  32. muscle cramps or twitching
  33. nausea
  34. no blood pressure or pulse
  35. no breathing
  36. numbness or tingling in the hands, feet, or lips
  37. painful or difficult urination
  38. pain in the lower back or side
  39. pale skin
  40. rapid weight gain
  41. rectal bleeding
  42. red irritated eyes
  43. red skin lesions, often with a purple center
  44. redness of the skin
  45. seeing, hearing, or feeling things that are not there
  46. seizures
  47. sensation of spinning
  48. severe sunburn
  49. shakiness and unsteady walk
  50. sore throat
  51. sores, ulcers, or white spots on the lips or in the mouth
  52. stopping of the heart
  53. swelling of the face, ankles, or hands
  54. swollen glands
  55. thirst
  56. trouble breathing
  57. unpleasant breath odor
  58. unsteadiness, trembling, or other problems with muscle control or coordination
  59. unusual bleeding or bruising
  60. unusual drowsiness, dullness, tiredness, weakness or feeling of sluggishness
  61. vomiting
  62. vomiting of blood or material that looks like coffee grounds
  63. weakness in the arms, hands, legs, or feet
  64. weight loss
  65. yellow eyes or skin

Other side effects not listed may also occur in some patients. If you notice any other effects, check with your healthcare professional.
