Side Effects

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor as soon as possible if any of the following side effects occur:

More common

  1. Trouble in sleeping

Less common

  1. Cough
  2. dizziness
  3. irregular heartbeat
  4. nervousness
  5. sore throat

Incidence not known

  1. Difficult or labored breathing
  2. difficulty swallowing
  3. dizziness
  4. fast heartbeat
  5. feeling of warmth
  6. fever
  7. hives or welts
  8. itching skin
  9. itching, puffiness or swelling of the eyelids or around the eyes, face, lips or tongue
  10. large, hive-like swelling on face, eyelids, lips, tongue, throat, hands, legs, feet, sex organs
  11. reddening of the skin, especially around ears
  12. redness of the face, neck, arms and occasionally, upper chest
  13. shortness of breath
  14. skin rash
  15. tightness in chest
  16. swelling of eyes, face, or inside of nose
  17. unusual tiredness or weakness
  18. wheezing

Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Check with your health care professional if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome or if you have any questions about them:

More common

  1. Headache
  2. nausea

Less common

  1. Abdominal or stomach pain
  2. agitation
  3. anxiety
  4. back pain
  5. dry mouth
  6. heartburn

Incidence not known

  1. Terrifying dreams causing sleep disturbances

Other side effects not listed may also occur in some patients. If you notice any other effects, check with your healthcare professional.
