Side Effects

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur:

Incidence not known

  1. Anxiety
  2. black, tarry stools
  3. bleeding gums
  4. blood in the urine or stools
  5. blurred vision
  6. change in the ability to see colors, especially blue or yellow
  7. chest pain or discomfort
  8. chills
  9. confusion
  10. cough or hoarseness
  11. dark-colored urine
  12. decreased frequency or amount of urine
  13. difficult or labored breathing
  14. difficulty with moving
  15. difficulty with speaking
  16. difficulty with swallowing
  17. dizziness or lightheadedness
  18. dizziness, faintness, or lightheadedness when getting up from a lying or sitting position suddenly
  19. double vision
  20. fainting
  21. fast heartbeat
  22. fever with or without chills
  23. general feeling of discomfort or illness
  24. general feeling of tiredness or weakness
  25. headache
  26. hives
  27. inability to move the arms, legs, or facial muscles
  28. inability to speak
  29. increased thirst
  30. itching of the skin
  31. joint pain
  32. loss of appetite
  33. lower back or side pain
  34. muscle aching or cramping
  35. muscle cramps or spasms
  36. muscle pain or stiffness
  37. muscular pain, tenderness, wasting, or weakness
  38. nausea and vomiting
  39. numbness and tingling of the face, fingers, or toes
  40. pain in the arms, legs, or lower back, especially pain in the calves or heels upon exertion
  41. painful or difficult urination
  42. pale, bluish-colored, or cold hands or feet
  43. pinpoint red spots on the skin
  44. problems with bleeding or clotting
  45. puffiness or swelling of the eyelids or around the eyes, face, lips, or tongue
  46. shortness of breath
  47. skin rash
  48. slow or irregular heartbeat
  49. slow speech
  50. sore throat
  51. sores, ulcers, or white spots on the lips or in the mouth
  52. sudden shortness of breath or troubled breathing sweating
  53. swelling
  54. swelling of the face, fingers, or lower legs
  55. swollen glands
  56. swollen joints
  57. tenderness, pain, swelling, warmth, skin discoloration, and prominent superficial veins over the affected area
  58. tightness in the chest
  59. troubled breathing
  60. unusual bleeding or bruising
  61. unusual tiredness or weakness
  62. vomiting
  63. weak or absent pulses in the legs
  64. weight gain
  65. wheezing

Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Check with your health care professional if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome or if you have any questions about them:

Incidence not known

  1. Abdominal or stomach pain
  2. confusion as to time, place, or person
  3. continuing ringing or buzzing or other unexplained noise in the ears
  4. decreased vision
  5. diarrhea
  6. ejaculation without semen
  7. hearing loss
  8. holding false beliefs that cannot be changed by fact
  9. mood or mental changes
  10. seeing, hearing, or feeling things that are not there
  11. stuffy nose
  12. unusual excitement, nervousness, or restlessness
  13. watery eyes

Other side effects not listed may also occur in some patients. If you notice any other effects, check with your healthcare professional.
