The purpose of this study is to determine: the incidence of hemorrhage in the 3 months following deep vein thrombosis diagnosis in hospitalized malignant hematology patients, based on anticoagulant use and presence of thrombocytopenia, and recurrent or progressive venous thromboembolism in the 3 months following deep vein thrombosis diagnosis in hospitalized malignant hematology patients, based on anticoagulant use and presence of thrombocytopenia. A Study Evaluating Temozolomide vs. Temozolomide and Olaparib for Advanced Pheochromocytoma and Paraganglioma Rochester, Minn. The purpose of this study is to determine how well the addition of olaparib to the usual treatment, temozolomide, works in treating patients with neuroendocrine cancer (pheochromocytoma or paraganglioma) that has spread to other places in the body (metastatic) or cannot be removed by surgery (unresectable). PARPs are proteins that help repair DNA mutations. PARP inhibitors, such as olaparib, can keep PARP from working, so tumor cells can't repair themselves, and they may stop growing. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as temozolomide, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Giving olaparib with temozolomide may shrink or stabilize the cancer in patients with pheochromocytoma or paraganglioma better than temozolomide alone. A Study to Evaluate Azacitidine Plus Venetoclax Induction Chemotherapy To Treat Acute Myeloid Leukemia Patients for T-cell Directed Immunotherapy Jacksonville, Fla. The purpose of this study is to evaluate immune profile of Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) patients receiving Venetoclax plus Azacitidine induction chemotherapy. Testing Lutetium Lu 177 Dotatate in Patients With Somatostatin Receptor Positive Advanced Bronchial Neuroendocrine Tumors Rochester, Minn. The purpose of this trial is to study the effect of lutetium Lu 177 dotatate compared to the usual treatment (everolimus) in treating patients with somatostatin receptor positive bronchial neuroendocrine tumors that have spread to other places in the body (advanced). Radioactive drugs, such as lutetium Lu 177 dotatate, may carry radiation directly to tumor cells and may reduce harm to normal cells. Lutetium Lu 177 dotatate may be more effective than everolimus in shrinking or stabilizing advanced bronchial neuroendocrine tumors. Testing the Addition of Abemaciclib to Olaparib for Women With Recurrent Ovarian Cancer Rochester, Minn., Scottsdale/Phoenix, Ariz., Jacksonville, Fla. The purpose of this study is to identify the side effects and best dose of abemaciclib when given together with olaparib in treating patients with ovarian cancer that responds at first to treatment with drugs that contain the metal platinum but then comes back within a certain period (recurrent platinum-resistant). Abemaciclib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Olaparib is an inhibitor of PARP, an enzyme that helps repair deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) when it becomes damaged. Blocking PARP may help keep tumor cells from repairing their damaged DNA, causing them to die. PARP inhibitors are a type of targeted therapy. Adding abemaciclib to olaparib may work better to treat recurrent platinum-resistant ovarian cancer. (Z)-Endoxifen for the Treatment of Premenopausal Women With ER+/HER2- Breast Cancer Rochester, Minn., Scottsdale/Phoenix, Ariz., Jacksonville, Fla. The purpose of this study is to identify a (Z)-endoxifen dose that achieves (Z)-endoxifen steady-state plasma concentrations (Css) between 500-1000 ng/mL. Dosing will begin with the (Z)-endoxifen 40 mg/day dose and may additionally explore either a lower (20 mg/day) or higher (80 mg/day) dose level based on (Z)-endoxifen Css as well as toxicity. A Study of Prostate Cancer Care and Survivorship Among Sub-Saharan African Immigrant Impacted by Social Determinants of Migrant Health Factors Rochester, Minn. The primary objective of this study is to employ the social determinant of migrant health framework (International Organization for Migration, n.d.) to examine the impact of immigration on the health-seeking behaviors of Sub-Saharan African Immigrant (SSAI) and Caribbean Immigrant (CI) men including informed-decision making, psychosocial effects and coping mechanisms. A Study to Evaluate the Immune Response to Anti-HER2 Therapies Jacksonville, Fla. The purpose of this study is to determine the correlation between HER2 specific T-cell response in HER2-positive breast cancer patients with stage I-IV who receive anti-HER2 therapies, such as trastuzumab, pertuzumab, lapatinib, or neratinib and clinical responses. A Study of Biomarkers to Predict Cancer Therapy-related Cardiotoxicity Rochester, Minn., Jacksonville, Fla., Scottsdale/Phoenix, Ariz. The primary purpose of this study is to collect Biospecimens from patients who developed chemotherapy related cardiac toxicity (CRCT) and patients who are at a high risk for developing CRCT identified prior to the onset of therapy. A Study to Compare Letrozole With or Without Paclitaxel and Carboplatin in Treating Patients With Stage II-IV Ovarian or Primary Peritoneal Cancer Rochester, Minn., Albert Lea, Minn. The purpose of this study is to evaluate how well letrozole, with or without paclitaxel and carboplatin, works in treating patients with stage II-IV low-grade serous carcinoma of the ovary or peritoneum. Letrozole is an enzyme inhibitor that lowers the amount of estrogen made by the body which in turn may stop the growth of tumor cells that need estrogen to grow. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as paclitaxel and carboplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. It is not yet known whether giving letrozole alone or in combination with paclitaxel and carboplatin works better in treating patients with low-grade serous carcinoma of the ovary or peritoneum compared to paclitaxel and carboplatin without letrozole.
