Research
Researchers are working to better diagnose and treat anxiety disorders in children and teenagers. They're learning about the factors that lead to anxiety disorders. And they're taking images to look into how the nervous system affects anxiety disorders. Studies include randomized controlled trials comparing versions of cognitive behavior therapy for childhood anxiety disorders. These studies also are looking into how to use technology to provide treatment.
Researchers also are working to better assess and treat anxiety disorders for adults in the primary care setting.
