Mayo Clinic researchers study advanced treatments such as Onyx and other liquid embolic agents. These liquids are injected into the dAVF to form a clot and block the fistula. Recent research includes examinations of the effectiveness and impact of these liquid embolism treatments combined with earlier detection in improving patient outcomes.
