Research

Mayo Clinic's Department of Psychiatry and Psychology does research to compare various treatment models to find the most effective treatments for attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). This involves analyzing long-term outcomes of children with ADHD. Researchers also are working to identify genes related to medication response in children with ADHD. This can help tailor treatment to the individual needs of the child with ADHD.
