Side Effects

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur:

More common

  1. Twitches of the muscle visible under the skin

Incidence not known

  1. Blurred or loss of vision
  2. changes in patterns and rhythms of speech
  3. chest pain or discomfort
  4. confusion
  5. cough
  6. difficult or labored breathing
  7. difficulty in moving
  8. difficulty swallowing
  9. disturbed color perception
  10. dizziness, faintness, or lightheadedness when getting up from a lying or sitting position suddenly
  11. double vision
  12. fast, pounding, or irregular heartbeat or pulse
  13. halos around lights
  14. hives
  15. irregular, fast or slow, or shallow breathing
  16. itching
  17. lightheadedness, dizziness, or fainting
  18. loss of consciousness
  19. muscle cramps and spasms
  20. muscle pain or stiffness
  21. night blindness
  22. no blood pressure or pulse
  23. noisy breathing
  24. overbright appearance of lights
  25. pain in joints
  26. pale or blue lips, fingernails, or skin
  27. puffiness or swelling of the eyelids or around the eyes, face, lips, or tongue
  28. seizures
  29. shortness of breath
  30. skin rash
  31. slow or irregular heartbeat
  32. slurred speech
  33. stopping of heart
  34. sweating
  35. tightness in chest
  36. trouble in speaking
  37. tunnel vision
  38. unconsciousness
  39. unusual tiredness or weakness
  40. wheezing

Get emergency help immediately if any of the following symptoms of overdose occur:

  1. Constipation
  2. decreased sexual ability
  3. difficult urination
  4. dry mouth
  5. enlarged pupils
  6. muscle weakness

Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Check with your health care professional if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome or if you have any questions about them:

  1. Increased watering of mouth

  1. Bloated
  2. constricted, pinpoint, or small pupils (black part of eye)
  3. diarrhea
  4. drowsiness
  5. excess air or gas in stomach or intestines
  6. feeling of warmth
  7. full feeling
  8. headache
  9. increase in mucous from lungs
  10. increased need to urinate
  11. increased sweating
  12. nausea
  13. passing gas
  14. passing urine more often
  15. redness of skin
  16. redness of the face, neck, arms and occasionally, upper chest
  17. skin rash
  18. stomach cramps
  19. vomiting
