Side Effects

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur:

More common

  1. Blurred vision
  2. cardiac awareness
  3. headache
  4. pounding in the ears

Rare

  1. Fainting
  2. increased dizziness
  3. slow pulse

Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Check with your health care professional if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome or if you have any questions about them:

More common

  1. Burning, itching, or prickling of the scalp
  2. chills
  3. goosebumps
  4. urinary frequency, retention, or urgency

Less common

  1. Anxiety or nervousness
  2. confusion
  3. dry mouth
  4. flushing
  5. headache or feeling of pressure in the head
  6. skin rash

Rare

  1. Backache
  2. canker sores
  3. dizziness
  4. drowsiness
  5. dry skin
  6. leg cramps
  7. pain or sensitivity of the skin to touch
  8. stomach problems such as gas, heartburn, or nausea
  9. trouble seeing
  10. trouble with sleeping
  11. weakness

Other side effects not listed may also occur in some patients. If you notice any other effects, check with your healthcare professional.
