1. Epicardial Delivery Of XC001 Gene Therapy To Promote Angiogenesis In CAD Patients Undergoing Treatment With CABG

   Scottsdale/Phoenix, Ariz.

   This is a 26-week (with a 26-week extension) multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled Phase 2 study of XC001 versus placebo. Approximately 116 participants who have CAD and have been referred for revascularization by CABG and who have, according to assessment by stress imaging multiple myocardial segments that are substantially ischemic, and that are unlikely to be fully revascularized during CABG for technical reasons, including diffuse atherosclerosis, lack of conduits, or insufficient target vessels.
   
   Patients will be randomized in a 1:1 to XC001 or placebo injections during the final stages of the CABG procedure. Patients will have a baseline CMR at day 4-6 post CABG and additional assessments in the primary study period will be performed on Day 14, and Weeks 4, 12, and 26, (and during the extension period at 52 weeks).

2. Anticoagulation For New-Onset Post-Operative Atrial Fibrillation After CABG

   The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness (prevention of thromboembolic events) and safety (major bleeding) of adding oral anticoagulation (OAC) to background antiplatelet therapy in patients who develop new-onset post-operative atrial fibrillation (POAF) after isolated coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery.

   The purpose of this study is to determine the innate immune, cell death and oxidative stress changes in the myocardium, and aorta of patients with heart failure compared to patients with normal hearts.

4. Unipedal Stance Time With Frailty Scores in Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement Patients

   Rochester, Minn.

   The objective of this study is to compare the unipedal stance time with serum albumin, 5-meter walk test and KATZ questionnaire findings as frailty scores in transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) patients.

7. A Study of Sexual Dysfunction in Patients with Hypertrophic Obstructive Cardiomyopathy Undergoing Septal Myectomy

   The purpose of this study is to determine how many patients suffer from sexual function problems and ascertain if they are improved or modified by cardiac surgical intervention.

8. A Study to Evaluate Aortic Dilatation in Patients with Conotruncal Abnormalities

   Rochester, Minn.

   The purpose of this study is to assess operative and postoperative outcomes after aortic valve surgery, evaluate for changes in ascending aorta diameter by comparing pre-operative CT imaging to measurements on follow-up imaging, and examine late outcomes and functional status during the follow-up period with specific focus on mortality, need for re-operation and incidence of aortic dissection.

   The purpose of this study is to analyze the effectiveness and safety of an embolic protection device compared to a standard aortic cannula to reduce the effects of death, clinical stroke, delirium and acute kidney injury in high-risk valve surgery patients.
