Chaplain services

Mayo Clinic and its hospitals — Saint Marys Hospital and Rochester Methodist Hospital — offer the services of a chaplain for patients and visitors. Chaplains are available:

  • To listen and offer spiritual and emotional support
  • To accompany those in crisis or grief
  • To share prayer and sacraments and to lead worship
  • To reflect and consult on ethical concerns and decisions

Contacting a chaplain
Chaplains are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. To arrange a visit, call Chaplain Services, 507-266-7275 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. After hours and on weekends, call the Mayo Clinic operator at 507-284-2511 and ask to speak to a chaplain.

If you are a patient or visitor at Rochester Methodist Hospital or Saint Marys Hospital, you may ask your nurse to page the on-call chaplain at any time.

  • Rochester Methodist Hospital, Eisenberg Building, Second Floor, Room 2-130
  • Saint Marys Hospital, Joseph Building, Main Floor, Room M-61
