Religious Services at Mayo Clinic

Mayo Clinic offers religious and spiritual support for many denominations and in many locations in the two hospitals and in the clinic.

Religious Services - Interdenominational

Worship Service

  • Sunday at 9:30 a.m. in the Rochester Methodist Hospital Chapel, Eisenberg Building, second floor.
  • Sunday at 10:45 a.m. in the Saint Marys Chapel, Saint Marys Hospital, Domitilla Building, first floor.

These service are broadcast live on the Mayo Clinic Television Network, channel 11.

Communion
Communion in patients' rooms is available at both Rochester Methodist Hospital and Saint Marys Hospital. To request Communion, please contact your nurse.

Anointing of the Sick
A chaplain is available at both hospitals for individual anointing upon request. Please contact your nurse.

Religious Services - Catholic

Mass Schedule

  • Sunday through Friday at 3:30 p.m. in the Rochester Methodist Hospital Chapel, Eisenberg Building, second floor.
  • Sunday at 8:30 a.m., and Monday through Saturday at 4:30 p.m. in the Saint Marys Chapel, Saint Marys Hospital, Domitilla Building, first floor. Masses are broadcast live on the Mayo Clinic Television Network, channel 11.

Communion
Communion in patients' rooms is available for Catholics at both Rochester Methodist Hospital and Saint Marys Hospital. To request Communion, please contact your nurse.

Anointing of the Sick
You may receive anointing Wednesday at the 4:30 p.m. mass in the Saint Marys Chapel, Domitilla Building, first floor. A priest is available at both hospitals for individual anointing upon request. Please contact your nurse.

Sacrament of Reconciliation
Confessions are heard Saturday from 3:30 to 4:15 p.m. in the Saint Marys Chapel, Saint Marys Hospital, Domitilla Building, first floor. A priest is available at both hospitals for individual confession upon request. Please contact your nurse.

Additional Worship Services

  • Sunday at 9:45 a.m. in the Generose Building, Sister Helen Hayes Lecture Hall, second floor, for Generose patients and family members.
  • Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. in the North Dining Room of the Rehabilitation Unit, Mary Brigh Building, MB 3-C, for rehabilitation patients and family members.
