General Information

Chaplains are available to serve the religious and spiritual needs of our patients and their families. Their services embrace respect for every person and for diversity in culture, belief and religious practice. Chaplains recognize the spiritual dimensions of illness, suffering and healing.

The chaplain's office is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Chaplains can be contacted directly by calling 904-956-0043 or by asking the hospital operator to call the chaplain on duty. Patients may ask their nurse to page the on-call chaplain at any time. Chaplains work closely with community clergy of all religions and faiths and will be happy to contact a minister, priest, imam, rabbi or other spiritual adviser.
