Side Effects

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur:

Incidence not known

  1. Abdominal or stomach pain, usually after eating a meal
  2. agitation
  3. back pain
  4. chest pain or discomfort
  5. chest tightness or heaviness
  6. coma
  7. confusion
  8. constipation
  9. convulsions
  10. cough
  11. decreased urine output
  12. depression
  13. diarrhea
  14. difficulty with swallowing
  15. dilated neck veins
  16. dizziness
  17. extreme fatigue
  18. fainting
  19. fast or irregular heartbeat
  20. headache
  21. hives, itching, or rash
  22. hostility
  23. increased thirst
  24. irregular breathing
  25. irritability
  26. lethargy
  27. lightheadedness, dizziness, or fainting
  28. muscle pain or cramps
  29. muscle twitching
  30. nausea or vomiting
  31. no blood pressure or pulse
  32. pain in the shoulders, arms, jaw, or neck
  33. pale, cool, or blotchy skin on the arms or legs
  34. puffiness or swelling of the eyelids or around the eyes, face, lips, or tongue
  35. rapid weight gain
  36. restlessness
  37. slow or irregular heartbeat
  38. stopping of heart
  39. stupor
  40. sweating
  41. swelling of the face, ankles, fingers, feet, or lower legs
  42. troubled breathing
  43. unconsciousness
  44. unusual tiredness or weakness
  45. weak or absent pulse in the arms or legs

Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Check with your health care professional if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome or if you have any questions about them:

Incidence not known

  1. Abdominal or stomach cramps
  2. feeling of constant movement of self or surroundings
  3. pale skin
  4. passing of gas
  5. pounding in the head
  6. sensation of spinning
  7. shakiness in the legs, arms, hands, or feet
  8. sweating
  9. trembling or shaking of the hands or feet

Other side effects not listed may also occur in some patients. If you notice any other effects, check with your healthcare professional.
