Side Effects

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur:

Rare

  1. Changes in vision
  2. dizziness, lightheadedness, or fainting
  3. fast heartbeat
  4. large hives
  5. painful urination or changes in urinary frequency
  6. swelling in the hands, lower legs, and feet

Incidence not known

  1. Blurred vision
  2. chest pain or discomfort
  3. confusion
  4. dark-colored urine
  5. decreased urine output
  6. dilated neck veins
  7. extreme fatigue
  8. flushing
  9. hives or welts
  10. hoarseness
  11. irregular breathing
  12. irritation
  13. itching
  14. joint pain, stiffness, or swelling
  15. large, hive-like swelling on the face, eyelids, lips, tongue, throat, hands, legs, feet, or sex organs
  16. muscle cramps or stiffness
  17. numbness or tingling in the hands, feet, or lips
  18. pain or discomfort in the arms, jaw, back, or neck
  19. pounding in the ears
  20. rash
  21. redness of the skin
  22. slow, fast, or irregular heartbeat
  23. sweating
  24. swelling of the eyelids, face, or lips
  25. tightness in the chest
  26. trouble breathing or swallowing
  27. trouble with speaking or walking
  28. trouble with thinking
  29. unusual tiredness or weakness
  30. unusually warm skin
  31. weakness or heaviness of the legs
  32. weakness, numbness, or tingling in the arms or legs
  33. weight gain

Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Check with your health care professional if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome or if you have any questions about them:

Less common

  1. Abdominal or stomach pain
  2. back pain
  3. bloating or gas
  4. changes in appetite
  5. coughing
  6. diarrhea
  7. dry mouth
  8. ear pain or hearing problems
  9. fever
  10. general tiredness or weakness
  11. headache
  12. heartburn
  13. increased sweating
  14. muscle pain or spasm
  15. nausea
  16. nervousness
  17. runny or stuffy nose
  18. sneezing
  19. sore throat

Incidence not known

  1. Acid or sour stomach
  2. belching
  3. decreased interest in sexual intercourse
  4. difficulty with moving
  5. inability to have or keep an erection
  6. indigestion
  7. joint pain
  8. lack or loss of strength
  9. leg cramps
  10. loss in sexual ability, desire, drive, or performance
  11. muscle aching
  12. stomach discomfort or upset
  13. swelling
  14. weakness

Other side effects not listed may also occur in some patients. If you notice any other effects, check with your healthcare professional.
