Side Effects

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur:

Less common

  1. Abdominal pain
  2. body aches or pain
  3. chills
  4. congestion
  5. cough
  6. dryness or soreness of throat
  7. ear congestion
  8. fever
  9. hoarseness
  10. increased wheezing, tightness in chest, or difficulty in breathing
  11. loss of voice
  12. nasal congestion
  13. noisy breathing
  14. runny nose
  15. shortness of breath
  16. sneezing
  17. stuffy nose
  18. tender, swollen glands in neck
  19. trouble in swallowing
  20. unusual tiredness or weakness
  21. voice changes

Rare

  1. Pain, stiffness, or swelling of joints

Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Check with your health care professional if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome or if you have any questions about them:

Less common

  1. Headache
  2. nausea or vomiting
  3. sensation of warmth
  4. throat irritation
  5. tremor
  6. unpleasant taste

Other side effects not listed may also occur in some patients. If you notice any other effects, check with your healthcare professional.
