Side Effects

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur:

More common

  1. Decreased interest in sexual intercourse
  2. inability to have or keep an erection
  3. loss in sexual ability, desire, drive, or performance

Less common

  1. Behavior, mood, or mental changes
  2. delayed or inability to have an orgasm
  3. trouble with breathing
  4. trouble with urinating
  5. twitching

Rare

  1. Absence of or decrease in body movements
  2. agitation
  3. blurred vision
  4. chills
  5. clumsiness or unsteadiness
  6. confusion
  7. diarrhea
  8. fever
  9. inability to move the eyes
  10. increase in body movements
  11. menstrual changes
  12. nosebleeds
  13. overactive reflexes
  14. poor coordination
  15. red or irritated eyes
  16. redness, tenderness, itching, burning, or peeling of the skin
  17. restlessness
  18. seizures
  19. shivering
  20. skin rash
  21. sore throat
  22. sweating
  23. talking or acting with excitement you cannot control
  24. trembling or shaking
  25. unusual bruising
  26. unusual, incomplete, or sudden body or facial movements
  27. unusual secretion of milk (in females)
  28. weakness

Incidence not known

  1. Agitation
  2. anger
  3. bloating
  4. chest tightness
  5. constipation
  6. cough
  7. difficulty swallowing
  8. darkened urine
  9. fast heartbeat
  10. headache
  11. hostility
  12. indigestion
  13. irritability
  14. loss of appetite
  15. nausea
  16. pains in the stomach, side, or abdomen, possibly radiating to the back
  17. puffiness or swelling of the eyelids or around the eyes, face, lips, or tongue
  18. swelling of the breasts or unusual milk production
  19. vomiting
  20. yellow eyes or skin

Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Check with your health care professional if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome or if you have any questions about them:

More common

  1. Change in sexual performance or desire
  2. trouble sleeping
  3. unusual tiredness

Less common

  1. Change in sense of taste
  2. decreased appetite
  3. feeling of constant movement of self or surroundings
  4. frequent urination
  5. heartburn
  6. increased sweating
  7. stomach pain
  8. unusual weight gain or loss

Incidence not known

  1. Decrease in smell
  2. loss of sense of smell

Other side effects not listed may also occur in some patients. If you notice any other effects, check with your healthcare professional.
