Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Check with your health care professional if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome or if you have any questions about them:

More common

  1. Fever
  2. headache
  3. muscle pain
  4. runny nose
  5. sore throat

Less common

  1. Back pain
  2. body aches or pain
  3. chest pain
  4. chills
  5. cold or flu-like symptoms
  6. congestion
  7. coughing
  8. diarrhea
  9. difficulty in moving
  10. dizziness
  11. dryness or soreness of throat
  12. hoarseness
  13. muscle pain or stiffness
  14. pain in joints
  15. pain or tenderness around eyes and cheekbones
  16. shortness of breath or troubled breathing
  17. stomach pain
  18. stuffy nose
  19. tender, swollen glands in neck
  20. tightness of chest or wheezing
  21. trouble in swallowing
  22. unusual tiredness or weakness
  23. voice changes
