Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor as soon as possible if any of the following side effects occur:

  1. Skin rash (severe) with itching

  1. Skin rash with symptoms such as fever, blistering, oral lesions, conjunctivitis, swelling, muscle aches, or joint aches


  1. Difficulty in breathing

  2. back, leg, or stomach pains
  3. bleeding gums
  4. chills
  5. coma
  6. confusion
  7. dark urine
  8. decreased urine output
  9. depression
  10. difficulty breathing
  11. dizziness
  12. fatigue
  13. fever
  14. general body swelling
  15. headache
  16. hostility
  17. irritability
  18. lethargy
  19. loss of appetite
  20. muscle twitching
  21. nausea
  22. nosebleeds
  23. pale skin
  24. rapid weight gain
  25. seizures (convulsions)
  26. sore throat
  27. stupor
  28. swelling of face, ankles, or hands
  29. unusual tiredness or weakness
  30. vomiting
  31. yellowing of the eyes or skin

Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects.
