Side Effects

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor or nurse immediately if any of the following side effects occur:

Incidence not known

  1. Anxiety
  2. blurred vision
  3. burning, crawling, itching, numbness, prickling, "pins and needles", or tingling feelings
  4. chest pain
  5. confusion
  6. cough
  7. difficult or labored breathing
  8. difficulty with swallowing
  9. dizziness or lightheadedness
  10. dizziness, faintness, or lightheadedness when getting up suddenly from a lying or sitting position
  11. fainting
  12. fast heartbeat
  13. hives
  14. itching
  15. large, hive-like swelling on the face, eyelids, lips, tongue, throat, hands, legs, feet, or sex organs
  16. nausea
  17. pains in the chest, groin, or legs, especially calves of the legs
  18. puffiness or swelling of the eyelids or around the eyes, face, lips, or tongue
  19. restlessness
  20. severe headaches of sudden onset
  21. shortness of breath
  22. skin rash
  23. sudden loss of coordination
  24. sudden onset of shortness of breath for no apparent reason
  25. sudden onset of slurred speech
  26. sudden shortness of breath or troubled breathing
  27. sudden vision changes
  28. sweating
  29. tenderness, pain, swelling, warmth, skin discoloration, and prominent superficial veins over affected area
  30. tightness in the chest
  31. unusual drowsiness, dullness, tiredness, weakness, or feeling of sluggishness
  32. unusual tiredness or weakness
  33. vomiting

Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Check with your health care professional if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome or if you have any questions about them:

Less common

  1. Change in taste
  2. loss of taste
  3. pain in the arms or legs

Other side effects not listed may also occur in some patients. If you notice any other effects, check with your healthcare professional.
