Robert E. Sedlack, M.D., M.H.P.Ed, is a consultant at the Mayo Clinic in the division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, and an Assistant Professor of Medicine. He attended medical school at Georgetown University School of Medicine. He subsequently spent 8 years as a medical officer in the U.S. Navy during which time he completed his internship and residency at San Diego and Portsmouth Naval Hospitals respectively as well as serving as a flight surgeon for a Navy airwing aboard two different aircraft carriers. Following his military service, he completed his Gastroenterology Fellowship at Mayo Clinic. He is board-certified in gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Dr. Sedlack specializes in therapeutic endoscopic procedures for the treatment of diseases in the upper and lower GI tract. He has a masters degree in Medical Health Professions Education with research interests in endoscopy training outcomes for gastroenterology fellows.
