Dr. Eldrige graduated from Creighton University Medical School (Omaha, NE) in 2004 and thereafter enrolled in residency training in anesthesiology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. After serving as an anesthesiology chief resident in 2007-2008, he subsequently completed fellowship training in Pain Medicine from 2008-2009 (Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN) and then joined as full time faculty as a Mayo Clinic Foundation Scholar. Starting in 2013, Dr. Eldrige became vice-chair of Clinical Practice for Pain Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Additionally, he served as the director of Pain Medicine Midwest outreach and practice building efforts throughout the Mayo Clinic Health System (MCHS) from 2014 through 2019. Starting March of 2020, Dr. Eldrige will be transitioning to a new leadership role in Mayo Clinic Florida where he will assume the duties of Chair for the Pain Medicine Department in Jacksonville.

Academic and clinic interests include the management of cancer pain, the treatment of medically intractable primary headache (interventional), use of implantable neuromodulation devices (SCS, IDDS, other), and the application of regenerative medicine technologies for spine pain indications.
