Volunteers at Mayo Clinic's campus in Arizona support Mayo staff members by:
- Assisting with patient preparation
- Offering directions and information to patients
- Providing clerical assistance
- Lending a hand with many other important facets of Mayo Clinic's day-to-day operations
Volunteers serve at both the Mayo Clinic Building (Scottsdale) and Mayo Clinic Hospital (Phoenix). Every effort is made to place each volunteer in a service area that best matches his or her particular skill set, interests and schedule.
Volunteers are not engaged in direct patient care and are not permitted to engage in shadowing or observation of Mayo Clinic staff.
Also, volunteering at Mayo Clinic should not be viewed as a means of obtaining employment. If you are seeking a paid position, visit Jobs at Mayo Clinic to search and apply for open positions.
