Side Effects

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur:

Rare

  1. Abdominal or stomach cramps or pain
  2. bloating
  3. constipation
  4. delusions of persecution, mistrust, suspiciousness, or combativeness
  5. excessive dryness of the mouth
  6. false beliefs that cannot be changed by facts
  7. loss of appetite
  8. nausea or vomiting
  9. seeing, hearing, or feeling things that are not there
  10. skin rash
  11. stomach pain
  12. swollen, painful, or tender lymph glands on the side of the face or neck

Incidence not known

  1. Anxiety
  2. blurred vision
  3. change in vision
  4. decrease in frequency of urination
  5. decrease in urine volume
  6. difficult urination
  7. difficulty in passing urine (dribbling)
  8. disturbed behavior
  9. dry mouth
  10. enlarged pupils
  11. eye pain
  12. fast, pounding, or irregular heartbeat or pulse
  13. hyperventilation
  14. irritability
  15. loss of vision
  16. mental confusion
  17. nervousness
  18. painful urination
  19. restlessness
  20. shaking
  21. shortness of breath
  22. trouble sleeping

Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Check with your health care professional if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome or if you have any questions about them:

More common

  1. Dizziness
  2. mild nausea
  3. nervousness

Incidence not known

  1. Drowsiness
  2. weakness

Other side effects not listed may also occur in some patients. If you notice any other effects, check with your healthcare professional.
