Side Effects

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur:

More common

  1. Blistering, crusting, irritation, itching, or reddening of the skin
  2. blood in urine
  3. cracked, dry scaly skin
  4. diarrhea
  5. fast heartbeat
  6. itching, pain, redness, swelling, tenderness, warmth on the skin
  7. loosening of the fingernails
  8. muscle or bone pain
  9. nosebleeds
  10. redness or soreness around the fingernails
  11. swelling

Less common

  1. Blurred vision
  2. change in vision
  3. chest tightness
  4. difficult or labored breathing
  5. dizziness
  6. headache
  7. nervousness
  8. overbright appearance of lights
  9. pounding in the ears
  10. rapid weight gain
  11. seeing flashes or sparks of light
  12. seeing floating spots before the eyes, or a veil or curtain across part of your vision
  13. slow or fast heartbeat

Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Check with your health care professional if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome or if you have any questions about them:

More common

  1. Constipation
  2. fever
  3. hair loss, thinning of the hair
  4. loss of appetite
  5. nausea
  6. stomach pain
  7. swelling or inflammation of the mouth
  8. unusual tiredness or weakness
  9. vomiting
