Side Effects

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor or nurse immediately if any of the following side effects occur:

Incidence not known

  1. Back, leg, or stomach pains
  2. bleeding gums
  3. bluish color of fingernails, lips, skin, palms, or nail beds
  4. blurred vision
  5. chest pain or discomfort
  6. confusion
  7. cough
  8. coughing that sometimes produces a pink frothy sputum
  9. dark urine
  10. difficult, fast, noisy breathing, sometimes with wheezing
  11. dizziness, faintness, or lightheadedness when getting up from a lying or sitting position suddenly
  12. extremely shallow or slow breathing
  13. fast, slow, pounding, or irregular heartbeat or pulse
  14. fatigue
  15. fever or chills
  16. general body swelling
  17. headache
  18. increased sweating
  19. lightheadedness, dizziness, or fainting
  20. loss of appetite
  21. low blood pressure or pulse
  22. nausea or vomiting
  23. nosebleeds
  24. not breathing
  25. pale skin
  26. severe pain in chest
  27. shortness of breath
  28. sneezing
  29. sore throat
  30. stopping of heart
  31. sudden onset of severe breathing problems
  32. sweating
  33. swelling in the legs and ankles
  34. tightness in the chest
  35. trouble with breathing when moving or walking
  36. unconsciousness
  37. unusual bleeding or bruising
  38. unusual tiredness or weakness
  39. yellow eyes or skin

Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Check with your health care professional if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome or if you have any questions about them:

  1. Burning, dry, or itching eyes
  2. eye discharge or excessive tearing
  3. rash
  4. redness, pain, swelling of the eye, eyelid, or inner lining of the eyelid

Other side effects not listed may also occur in some patients. If you notice any other effects, check with your healthcare professional.
